The moment yesterday finally came that people had been waiting for years since James Gunn took over the DC Studios back in October 2022 alongside Peter Safran. James announced the first DCU slate back in January 2023, Gods & Monster, and filled the hype in people by just announcing the slate. Since then Gunn announced and revealed a lot of things regarding his new DCU and got people more exhilarated by what he was cooking. But a thing people were looking forward to, was seeing James on the stage or at a DCU event open announcing the new era of DC Studios.
Yesterday, this wait came to an end with James coming on the stage for the first DCU project at NYCC, Creature Commandos; however, this might not be a big event like SDCC since it was mostly concerned with comic books. James came on the stage with Frank Grillo, who is playing Rick Flag Sr. in Creature Commandos, and Superman, with the crew.

James Gunn revealed the second trailer for Creature Commandos which premieres on December 5. People were excited about the show, but what fans were waiting for was something like an image of Superman, which didn’t happen at the end. The host asked, you recently showed off Krypto, in response James said yeah “Krypto is something that has been amazing and an incredible part of the story,” further talked about it, then came on the David Corenswet part, and said, ‘People screamed at his name’ “is going to blow people the fuck away, further he said, I don’t really think anyone understands the depth of this man dramatically, comedically,” then he talked about Rachel Brosnahan aka Lois Lane and Eddie Gathegi, Mr. Terrific.
