The Hit Songs James Gunn Refused to Include in Superman

Nowadays reports are exaggerating more than often as some reliable sources also suggest that DC Studios’s Co-Ceo James Gunn has made up his mind for the first teaser trailer of 2025’s most highly anticipated movie Superman to drop this month, highly likely to be December 15 as it marks the 46th anniversary of Christopher Reeve first Superman movie as Collider exclusively reported last week.

As James Gunn has been highly active on Meta’s Threads, fans are always eager to know more about the film; what’s going on, how much the movie is done, and the most expected question: when will the first teaser for Superman be released? Recently James Gunn was showered with questions about the song he will potentially choose for Superman.

A fan asked him if he might come closer to choosing the song, ‘Don’t Stop Me Now.’ that is also used by the recently released movie Sony’s Venom: The Last Dance. James Gunn bluntly responds to the guy, “It’s been done too often.” The song is also included in Paramount Pictures’ Sonic: The Hedgehog franchise.

Another one asked him not to please choose ‘Holding Out For A Hero,’ a song recorded by singer Bonnie Tyler for the 1984 film Footloose, and ‘Starman’ James assured him to not worry about it, which means he is not going to include either of them in the movie regardless, how good they both befit with Man Of Steel.

James Gunn is coming with all the glory on DC Studios as the new era of DCU has just begun with the 2 episode premiere of the animated show Creature Commandos, which is also written by James Gunn, now streaming exclusively on Max.
