After the press event last week, DC Studios’ co-chairs, James Gunn, and Peter Safran, unveiled their 6-Year-Plan plan for the DCU, which immediately took the internet by storm, and every major and minor channel covered the news.
Today, James Gunn dropped another bomb revealing the first official look at DC ‘Lanterns’ featuring Aaron Pierre as John Stewart and Kyle Chandler as Hal Jordan. However, the look doesn’t feature them in their Green Lantern suit but we got a perfect look at both actors as they walk down the highway in a desert.
Aaron Pierre wearing a dark navy or black bomber jacket over an olive-green or brownish shirt. He can also be seen wearing dark brown pants and a watch on her left-hand wrist, which indicates the comic accuracy of John Stewart. He depicts some serious looks that have a major influence on making him famous in Netflix’s ‘Rebel Ridge’.
Previously, fans weren’t that happy having Kyle Chandler as Hal Jordan in ‘Lanterns’, but the look we got portrays him as a more-than-worthy actor for Hal. He looks fantastic as Hal walks down the road alongside Aaron. He has that comic-accurate graying, slightly messy hair, and some. He is dressed in a brown jacket over a black shirt and light navy blue jeans. The most notable thing in the shot is the Green Lantern ring that Hal Jordan is wearing but John couldn’t be seen wearing one — might be because of camera angle.
‘Lanterns’ is co-written by ‘Ozark’ creator Chris Mundy, Damon Lindelof and Tom King. All three of them also serve as executive producers of the show, along with James Gunn and Peter Safran, who are supervising the show, with James Hawes directing the first two episodes. ‘Lanterns’ doesn’t have a release date yet, but it is supposed to premiere on Max before ‘Supergirl: Woman Of Tomorrow’ in early 2026.
