When DC Studios head and Co-Ceo James Gunn announced that they were going to reboot the entire DCU for it being disconnected all these years. What is DCU’s ‘Lanterns’?

DCU’s ‘Lanterns’ series, which will be released on HBO, is based on DC’s ‘Green Lantern comics that follow Hal Jordan and John Stewart (Main Characters) as intergalactic cops solving a murder mystery. Ozark creator Chris Mundy serves as showrunner, with Damon Lindelof and Tom King as executive producers.
As the production is about to start, There is news coming that 3 actors (Josh Brolin, Chris Pine, and Ewan McGregor) were offered the role of Hal Jordan, One of which (Josh Brolin) passed on the role to other actors.
Josh Brolin portrayed Thanos in The MCU. Whereas Chris Pine has appeared in Wonder Woman as Diana’s love Interest. Ewan McGregor portrayed the iconic character Obi-Wan Kenobi in the Star Wars franchise
Some rumors suggest that Chris Pine has accepted the role of Hal Jordan, which was entirely declined by Deadline on 23rd September. Deadline reported that Kyle Chandler is highly likely to play Hal Jordan, Green Lantern in DC’s ‘Lanterns.’ Kyle has received a primetime Emmy for his performance in the American drama show ‘Friday Night Lights.’ Reports also suggest that Kyle Chandler just has a one-year deal with DC Studios to play Hal Jordan in ‘Lanterns,’ which likely points to his tragic death in the show, and John Stewart will remain the main Green Lantern.
