The most awaited Superman teaser trailer has finally arrived, and it was perfect. The way they blended John Williams’s score by electrifying it was so heart-touching. They perfectly introduce us to their world with this teaser and reveal so many shots yet give away absolutely nothing about the story, which is a good thing. so here are the 10 Easter Eggs you’ve missed while watching the teaser trailer of Superman.
1. Tim Drake (Robin)
The teaser starts with Superman falling from the sky and being injured badly even bleeding by unknown powers and the scene shifts to Metropolis where we see Clark Kent who is coming into Daily Planet for work, while he is walking around public, in the background we see a billboard of a cocktail restaurant name The Wounded Duck, in the comics this Bar was used as a base operation by Batman’s third Robin Time Drake on Earth 2 where he later became the Batman.
2. Gorilla Grodd
In the exact shot, we see a Guard reading a newspaper of Daily Planet and its headline says “Hammer of Boravia Creates Havoc Downtown” Below that, if you look closely we see an image of Gorilla, possibly Gorilla Grodd from the comics.
3. Krypto Comic accurate look
When James Gunn shared the first look of Krypto sitting beside Superman, announcing his official involvement in the film, he wasn’t wearing a cape just like he wears in the comics but this teaser confirms that he’ll have his comic-accurate cape as well as his neck belt, not only that his cape has exact same yellow Superman logo.
4. The Engineer
After a few shots, we see our first look at Nicholas Hoult as Lex Luthor in a building which is later confirmed to be Luthor Corp in the next shot, below the Luthor Corp logo we see a person, who is The Engineer from the comics. She’s the leader of The Authority, and over that, The Authority film is in development in the DCU.
5. Stagg Industries
As I mentioned the teaser does not give anything away from the plot, In later shots we see Superman walking through the public and they are angry with him for an unknown reason and we see him entering Stagg Industries, In the comics, Stagg Industries is owned by Simon Stagg who is the primarily the villain of Metamorpho and was responsible for his creation.
6. Kaiju
In later shots we see Superman fighting a big giant monster in the center of Metropolis, possibly this Kaiju is sent by Lex Luthor just like he did in the Superman: Birthright comic written by Mark Waid.
7. Kelex
We see Superman crying over a Robot who could be Kelex. In the comics Kelex was created by Kal-el’s father Jor-el on his home planet Krypton, when Krypton died Kelex was presumed dead alongside other Kryptonians but later appears to be alive and became the caretaker of Fortress of Solitude.
8. Metamorpho
When this shot appeared some people were like “It’s Brainiac?” but true comic fans knew that he’s Rex Mason aka Metamorpho who is confirmed to be played by Anthony Carrigan.
9. Ultraman
At the end of the teaser, we see Superman fighting an unknown super-powered being and by the looks of it, it has the same powers as Superman like super strength, super speed, and flight ability. He could be literally anyone but our guess is that he’s Ultraman, the U symbol on his chest also favors our theory.
10. Lex Luthor’s private army
In one of the last shots of the teaser, we see Mr Terrific protecting Lois Lane from Lex’s army, and those soldiers are equipped with Warsuits. A nice node to Superman for All Seasons comic.
Superman is set to release on July 11, 2025 in theatres.
