The First official teaser of one of the most anticipated movies of 2025 ‘The Fantastic Four: First Steps’ has been released. After being poorly handled by Fox for the past 2 decades, This will be the fourth time we’ll see this team on the big screen and it will also be the homecoming of the team from Fox to Disney. Finally, we will see the team or you can say family in the Marvel Cinematic Universe and interacting with the other MCU characters.
This teaser didn’t reveal much but accomplished giving an overall vibe of the film, this will be set in a different universe than the main Marvel universe and will be retro-futuristic just like Loki’s TVA where all the technologies are highly advanced but with outdated old mid-60s designs.
So here are 3 hidden details you might have missed while watching the first teaser of Marvel’s ‘The Fantastic Four: First Steps’.
1. H.E.R.B.I.E
The teaser starts with Reed Richards and Sue Storm introducing a Baxter Building (a home base of The Fantastic Four) to a person and the scene cuts to The Thing and H.E.R.B.I.E talking, H.E.R.B.I.E stands for Humanoid Experimental Robot B-Type Integrated Electronics.
In the comics, H.E.R.B.I.E is a robot created by Reed Richards with Xandarian technology, yes you heard it right Xandarian technology from the planet Xander as we’ve seen in Guardians of the Galaxy films, which is also the home planet of the Superhero Nova.
The sole purpose behind the creation of H.E.R.B.I.E is to find Galactus for Mr Fantastic so that he can aware of his appearance and prepare to protect the planet from him.
2. Multiversal Travel Device
In the next shot, we see Reed Richards trying to figure out something on the blackboard and we might know what that is. Exactly behind him, we see a drawing of Warmhole and it could be a multiversal or inter-dimensional travel device he’s trying to make.
The theory is that they used to live in the main Marvel universe but by accident, they traveled to a different universe and got stuck there, Reed Richards who is one of the smartest men alive in the Marvel Universe is trying to find a way to go home by creating a Multiversal device.
This invention could also establish him smarter than Tony Stark who invented Time Travel.
3. New Space Suits
In the same shot, in the left corner, we see space suits. Let’s make it clear before you say it’s the same space suits we see ahead in the teaser. The suits we see ahead in the teaser have more white than blue, and these suits are the opposite, with more blue than white. It looks like the design is also different.
‘The Fantastic Four: First Steps’ will be released in theatres on July 25, 2025.
